Hello, world

Welcome to lemon.zone, my little corner of the internet.

This site is a bit of a personal blog, and I built it myself (albeit with a little bit of help of Señor Claude). It runs on a small computer at home that I set up from scratch, which has been a good way to learn how websites actually work.

What I'll write about

• Smart home tinkering. I've been building a colour-changing light with an ESP32 chip can talk to Home Assistant. It has effects like fire, ocean and heartbeat, and it remembers its colour after power is cut. Its a bit shit, but baby steps...right?
• Self-hosting. What I've learned about running my own services at home, and what to be careful with.
• Whatever else I'm into. Projects, experiments and things that went wrong.
